I am so excited about this event, and I’ve taken the day off to go spend the night at MoMa for this kick off party.
I have a couple of friends who are showing at the fair, so I will let you know how it looks.
I highly recommend checking it out if you have any interest in the fine arts.
Kisses!

“All’s Fair
The Armory Show 2010, which opens on Thursday, promises to be one of the biggest art events of the year, literally. Last year’s fine art fair at Piers 92 and 94 drew 56,000 visitors and over 200 dealers. Tonight MoMA is hosting a kick-off event at the museum to celebrate this year’s exhibition. The party, which begins at 8:30 p.m., features a live performance by The Walkmen. The New York indie band, which, Ben Sisario writes, plays “exquisitely articulated songs of exhaustion and disaffection,” will perform music off its most recent album in the Agnes Gund Garden Lobby. Adding to the mix will be the D.J. Justin Miller and the experimental band Human Rights, featuring members of Beirut, Psychic Ills, No Regular Play, and Volcano the Bear. Tickets for the party, which is also a benefit, start at $100. A shuttle bus will be available to transport guests from the Armory show at Piers 92 and 94 to MoMA”
